Phase 1: Foundations and Certification
Before applying, you must master technical standards. We recommend InterNACHI for your prerequisite education to ensure you follow the legal baseline of the Standard of Practice.
Phase 2: The Proctored Exam
Passing the NHIE is your primary hurdle. Use our high-fidelity flashcard sets to drill technical codes before you sit for the test.
Phase 3: Field Training & Insurance
Many states require parallel inspections. Secure your E&O ($100k) and GL ($200k) early—it is your primary business shield.
Phase 4: State Application
The final step is the formal application with the AZ Board of Technical Registration. Ensure background checks and fingerprinting are completed early to avoid delays.
